Chase Williams

Chase is a Vice President and is primarily responsible for evaluating and completing new investment transactions. Prior to joining CID, Chase was with The Heritage Group on the Strategy and M&A Team where he led add-on acquisitions to existing portfolio holdings. Prior to The Heritage Group, Chase was with Berkshire Partners in Boston, where his responsibilities included analyzing new investments, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, deal process execution, sourcing and ongoing portfolio company monitoring and support. Chase began his career in the Private Equity Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York, where he focused on the evaluation and due diligence of direct company, secondary and partnership investments across leveraged buyout, venture, real estate and distressed strategies.

Chase currently sits on the board of Georgia Metals.

Chase holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Chase is an avid sports fan and also enjoys golf, travel, watersports, and spending time with his dog, Jada.

Clint is a Senior Associate and is primarily responsible for evaluating and completing new investment transactions. Prior to joining CID, Clint was with Lighthouse Autism Center, a Cerberus portfolio company, where he led the company’s acquisition activities. Prior to Lighthouse, Clint was on the corporate development team at Stanley Black & Decker where his responsibilities included identifying new opportunities, financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, and deal execution. Clint began his career with RSM in assurance services and holds a CPA designation.

Clint holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Outside of work, Clint enjoys rooting for his Indiana sports teams, playing pickleball, and hanging out with his dog, Doug.

Cory is part of CID’s investment team, working on new investment opportunities and supporting our existing partner organizations. Cory currently represents CID on the board of Wiseway, Georgia Metals, Extra Mile Brands, and LumiSource + Grandview Gallery. In addition to his transaction and portfolio responsibilities, Cory focuses on Investor Relations and manages CID’s debt capital relationships.

Cory enjoys staying current with the financing markets and is always available for discussions with lenders across the capital structure spectrum.

Previously, Cory was a member of the Corporate Banking Group at BMO Capital Markets where he partnered with financial sponsors in their efforts to invest in industrial, consumer product and service-oriented businesses.

Cory holds an MBA from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BA from DePauw University.

Debbie is CID’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Not only is she is responsible for all accounting, tax, banking, and portfolio valuation activities, she also manages all of the communication and reporting to our Limited Partners.

When Debbie isn’t executing distributions, capital calls, and investment transactions, she is managing our compliance program, which she helped build. She also assists in filtering and evaluating new deal opportunities. If you couldn’t tell, her hands are full—it’s no wonder she often eats lunch at her desk!

Prior to CID, Debbie held accounting and management positions at an equipment manufacturing business where she was responsible for successfully directing a turnaround of the business.

Debbie received an MBA from Butler University and a BS in Accounting from Coastal Carolina University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant.

Since 2000, Eric has focused his energy on ensuring that CID has the opportunity to work with leading management teams and companies serving the consumer and industrial sectors. CID’s attitude is partnership; partner with exceptional people and exceptional companies.

Eric knows that the best managers will make almost any investor look good, so he works to provide them with the most impactful guidance and resources the CID family has to offer. Eric has served on the board of a number of CID’s current and past industrial products, business services and consumer products companies. Eric currently sits on the board of Strahman Valves, Extra Mile Brands, Park Supply, Lettermen’s Energy, and Wiseway. When Eric isn’t supporting portfolio companies, he is assisting in CID’s sourcing activities.

Prior to joining CID, Eric worked on the acquisition integration team at the Conseco Companies and kicked around the country as an NFL punter with the NY Giants. One of Eric’s passions is helping others in his community. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors of The Patachou Foundation and its mission is to feed nutritious afterschool meals to at-risk and food-insecure children in the Indianapolis community.

Eric received an MBA and bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University.

Eric is an inquisitive guy, which is helpful when you’re tasked with evaluating new platform investments as well as add-on acquisitions for existing portfolio companies.

Equally important to being inquisitive is being respectful of the answers. Eric has a tremendous amount of admiration for the business owners and entrepreneurs that CID works with. He respects their time and their success and makes sure that CID’s diligence process is a reflection of these values.  Eric is currently on the board of Giftcraft, Strahman Valves, Park Supply and Lettermen’s Energy.

Eric was most recently a Vice President in Greenhill & Co.’s Industrial Mergers and Acquisitions group in Chicago, where he worked with large industrial corporations to grow their businesses through acquisition. He previously worked in private equity; investing for The Carlyle Group as an Associate, and in UBS’s Mergers and Acquisitions group as an Analyst.

Eric received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, where he was a Kelley Scholar.

Ryan’s primary responsibilities as a Senior Associate include identifying platform and add-on opportunities, as well as, supporting the investment team in evaluating, financing and closing new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining CID, Ryan worked for Rolls-Royce, a global British Aerospace company, in an array of purchasing and supply chain roles. Outside of work, Ryan is on the board of IUPUI Athletics’ “J-Club”, as well as the Big Impact group for Big Brothers, Big Sisters Indianapolis.

Ryan received an MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in addition to a BS from Indiana University-Indianapolis’ Kelley School of Business, where he was also a member of the Track & Field team.

In his leisure time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his “Little Brother” in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, running, traveling to new countries and attempting to learn Spanish.

Scot has served on the board of numerous CID portfolio companies in both consumer product and industrial product industries. Scot currently represents CID on the board of Fit & Fresh. When Scot isn’t helping management teams scale their businesses, he is reviewing new investment opportunities for the firm.

Scot is also very active in the community. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Indiana Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, the leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important land and water. He also recently served on the Board of Directors of the Venture Club of Indiana, an Indianapolis-based organization offering opportunities for networking education and information sharing among entrepreneurs and business owners.

Prior to joining CID in 1997, Scot worked as a software engineer for Honeywell-Bull and later, as a financial analyst for Bull Worldwide Information Systems.

Scot received a MBA from the University of Chicago, a master’s degree in Computer Science from Arizona State and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.

When not on the search for big-market investment opportunities, Steve leads investor relations and organizational development in his role as Managing Partner. He is always open for a conversation with thoughtful, high-initiative leaders looking to continue their careers in private equity.

Steve focuses on building strong consumer and industrial brands. He represents CID on the boards of Giftcraft, Fit & Fresh, LumiSource + Grandview Gallery. He particularly enjoys working with the CEO’s of lower-middle market businesses in setting and executing strategies for growth.

Previously, Steve was a member of the Home Care finance team at Procter & Gamble, where he helped lead the growth of the U.S. laundry and cleaning products business.

Steve holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA from DePauw University.

Prior to joining CID, Tom was a Partner at Monument MicroCap, a lower middle market focused private equity firm. Prior to Monument, Tom was a Principal at HKW and an Associate at Wynnchurch Capital. Tom began his career as an investment banking analyst in Bofa Merrill Lynch’s Global Industrials Group in Chicago.

Tom holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is also an avid golfer and IU basketball fan.
