January 16, 2024: Indianapolis-based private equity firm CID Capital (“CID”) announced that it has partnered with Kind Water Systems ("Kind Water"). Kind Water is a leading provider of water treatment systems that help homeowners protect their families from potentially dangerous impurities in their water, as well as protect their plumbing, fixtures, and appliances from the damaging effects of hard water scale. Kind Water is the eighth platform investment made from CID’s latest fund, CID Capital Opportunity Fund III, L.P.

In conjunction with closing the transaction, Tony Friesl, will step in as CEO to lead the business under CID's ownership. Tony conveyed his excitement upon joining Kind Water Systems, acknowledging the remarkable business established by founders Richie Stanley, Frank Capadona, and Edu Stuivenberg. Friesl expressed, "I am thrilled to be part of this dynamic team, whose impressive track record was evident in building Kind Water Systems from scratch." Alongside Friesl and the established Kind Water Systems team, several former colleagues who are industry veterans are joining the ranks. Friesl emphasized the team's anticipation of growth, stating, "We look forward to expanding Kind Water and seamlessly integrating additional assets into our platform in the near future."
