February 8, 2024: Georgia Metals, a leading value-added distributor of metal roofing and paneling products, and a current portfolio company of Indianapolis-based private equity firm CID Capital (“CID”), announced that it has continued its Midsouth expansion with the acquisition of Watson Metals.

Watson Metals expands the Georgia Metals platform into the state of Tennessee through its locations in Manchester and Bon Aqua and adds a third location in the state of Kentucky through its Auburn location. Watson was the fourth acquisition by Georgia Metals since partnering with CID in August of 2022, having previously acquired Mansea Metal, with locations in Winchester, KY, Walton, KY, Mt. Zion, IL and Dayton OH, Upstate Metals in Anderson, SC, and Neal Strickland Roofing / Deep South Metals in East Palatka, FL.
